Why the dates in horoscopes don’t always agree
Your Sun sign is simply the 30° section of the zodiac the Sun occupied when you were born. The Sun enters each sign at a precise moment, and that moment moves by several hours from one year to the next because the calendar year has 365 or 366 days while the tropical year is about 365.24 days. Born on a cusp?
If you were born on the day the Sun changed signs, the answer depends on the hour. Without a birth time the tool calculates for noon and tells you that both signs are possible; with a time and time zone it gives a definite answer and shows how many hours separated your birth from the change. Astrologically there is no blend of two signs: the Sun is always in exactly one of them.
